WARNER ROBINS, GA – Four of the top five GOP Gubernatorial candidates will square off in a debate at the Galleria Mall Conference Center on Thursday, July 15th at 7:00 p.m. Jeff Chapman, Nathan Deal, Karen Handel and Eric Johnson are scheduled to participate while John Oxendine has declined to attend. This is the second time this year these candidates have come to the Robins Region for a debate. Back in March, the event drew approximately 200 people.

In addition to the Republican candidates for Governor, the event Thursday will also feature an hour forum with the GOP candidates for Insurance Commissioner, Attorney General and Secretary of State. Each segment will last approximately 20 minutes and will begin at 6:00 p.m. leading up to the Gubernatorial primary debate at 7:00 p.m.

A “meet & greet” with the candidates and organizers is planned at 5:30.

The “Debate In The Midstate” is organized by The Warner Robins Patriot Newspaper and WRWR 107.5 FM “The Patriot” radio station. Both the forum and the debate will broadcast live on WRWR 107.5 FM starting at 6:00 p.m.
