WARNER ROBINS - A Houston Healthcare spokesperson confirmed Friday that Lynne Thomas-Gordon is leaving her post as Houston Medical Center administrator in Warner Robins to accept a position in Chicago, Il.
The departure is the third among senior officials within the county-wide medical complex over the past three months. Dr. Samuel Johnson resigned as executive director of medical affairs in March to take a similar position with Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville and Skip Philips was fired on May 17 as president and chief executive officer.
Thomas-Gordon has accepted a position as associate vice president of operations and director of Rush Children's Hospital, reported Tonya Sadler, Houston Healthcare's director of marketing.
"The administrator position is being evaluated," Sadler added, "but a search for (Thomas-Gordon's) replacement has not yet begun."

The firing of Skip Phillips is the most difficult to understand. He is a solid Christian man, had transformed the hospital into a harmonious work environment and got outstanding scores from everyone who worked or used the hospital.
