Encore for ‘Anatomy of Gray’ at Warner Robins High
Warner Robins High School will hold an encore performance of its one-act play, “Anatomy of Gray,” 2 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $5 at the door. All proceeds will go toward funding participation of 24 students in the Georgia Thespian Conference Feb. 12 in Columbus.
Set in Indiana during the late 1800's, “Anatomy of Gray” deals with death, loss, love and healing in a unique coming-of-age story. When June's father dies, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray so that no one will ever suffer again. The next thing she knows, there is a tornado and a man in a balloon blows into town claiming to be a doctor.

Bonaire Middle holds benefit pageant
Taylor Liszewski is this year’s Bonaire Middle School queen, announced at last month’s annual Benefit Pageant sponsored by the Bonaire Middle Jr. Beta Club.
Taylor’s court consists of first runner-up Katlyn Winner; second runners-up Sierra Stella and Darlyn Davis; and third runners-up Rachel Allen and Allison Townsend.
The talent showcase winners were Rachel Allen, first place; Darlyn Davis, second place; and Molly Lauritsen, third place and Application and Highest Grade Point Average.
Contestants raised money for the event, with medals given based on the amount raised. The contestant who raises the most funds receives the Goodwill Award, which went to Allison Townsend who raised $535. Other winners were Aja Miller, Gold Award; Darlyn Davis, Katlyn Winner, Abby Gray, McKenzie Roff and Molly Lauritsen, Silver Award; and Ashton Christianson, Bronze Award.
Pageant proceeds are donated to an organization or charity in the community. This year, the proceeds were donated to the Houston County Sharks, the adapted sports program that offers students with physical disabilities the opportunity to play wheelchair basketball, football and handball.

Feagin Mill Middle School presents a Sweetheart Dinner and Silent Auction 5-7 p.m. Feb. 11. Cost is $10 for a meal of either spaghetti or chicken and broccoli Alfred. Entertainment provided by the school’s jazz band.

Continuing in the culinary vein, Linwood Elementary School will present Outback Night 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 25. Tickets are $10 for a meal of steak or chicken, baked potato, salad, cake and beverage, dine in or carry out.

In a more strenuous vein, the Mossy Creek Middle Gator Gallop 5K is scheduled to start 8 a.m. March 6. Fees are $20 pre-registration, $25 day of the race, or $60 family rate.
