too late?
Editor:
While everyone is hyped about the unmitigated ignorance of moving radical terrorists to the continental United States for civilian trials with all rights and privileges of American citizens rather than being tried in a military court, a clandestine sleight of hand---act of deception if you will---took place at the highest level of government that threatens our national security.
At a time when we are at war with radical Islam, only a Muslim would surreptitiously appoint not one but two "devout Muslims" to highly sensitive posts in our nation's Department of Homeland Security. Two questions: 1.) Are we not at war with radical Islam? 2.) Over the past two decades, hasn't the United States been attacked on numerous occasions by "devout" Muslims with thousands of American civilian and military lives massacred at the hands of "devout" Muslims?
Undoubtedly, history will record that to a man this has to be the most radicalized administration and corrupt political party ever assembled. Voter apathy and blatant ignorance of the clandestine activities of the "chosen one", his criminal and communist collaborators (czars), and the blatantly corrupt liberal politicians being re-elected to all levels have allowed this corruption to permeate throughout our government. Unless awareness, rationality, and good judgment return to the voting public, we won't have to be concerned about having English as our national language because we will all be speaking Arabic.
Wake up America! Because of your votes during the 2008 election, it might already be too late!

125,000 Solutions to the primary
care shortage
Editor:
November 8-14, 2009 is National Nurse Practitioner Week, celebrating the vital role that nurse practitioners (NPs) play in providing excellent primary care to all populations of the United States. There are over 125,000 NPs in America, with over 4,320 NPs in Georgia. NPs have been providing primary care in the U.S. for more than 40 years.
They are graduates of master’s, post-master’s or doctoral NP programs, with advanced clinical preparation to provide primary, acute, and chronic care to patients of all ages and walks of life.
A large body of research has established that NPs provide high-quality, cost-effective, comprehensive, personalized patient-centered healthcare with excellent outcomes. In addition to diagnosing and managing acute episodic and chronic illness, NPs place a strong emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. They are skilled clinicians who include teaching and
counseling individuals, families and communities as a major part of their practice.
NPs practice autonomously and collaboratively with healthcare professionals and others to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage the patient’s health problems and needs. They serve as healthcare researchers, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocates. Nurse Practitioners in the Houston County area are providing care in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, at the Health Department, within Houston Health Care, and at numerous other sites.

Missed opportunities for G-RAMP
Editor:
Centerville's city Administrator Patrick Eidson recently announced the results of a special meeting with various city and county officials about the proposed G-RAMP. That unnamed Warner Robins' officials discussed the project that has been quoted at $72 million and that they expect to complete with the help of more than their own city.
"There hasn't been a lot of information...given out by Warner Robins up to this point," Eidson said. A pending vital environmental assessment requires contributions from other cities to get off the ground. After the hopefully positive results of the assessment, G-RAMP's future will be decided. Many attendees were there to find out what G-RAMP is all about. Newspaper accounts about G-RAMP failed to inform the attendees. What is wrong with this picture?
All the above is just further proof of the ineptness, secrecy and unprofessional and pathetic mishandling of G-RAMP by our unknown city officials and the leadership of the 21st Century Partnership in their roles to inform our citizens.
Let's hope that the upcoming, inevitable BRAC is not managed by these inept folks.
