William "Paul" Rish officially announced today that he will seek the 8th Congressional District seat currently held by Jim Marshall.

Rish is the president and CEO of Rish Telecommunications, which was started in October of 2003. He was also the Chairman of the Bibb County Republican Party from 2008-2009.

He is a graduate of DeVry University, attends Ingleside Baptist Church, and is involved in many civic and community activities. He grew up in Macon.

This campaign, he says, will be focused on creating jobs, lowering taxes, reforming healthcare, and securing our agricultural prosperity.
