We now have the final numbers from this weekend’s Robins Base Airshow, and as expected, the total shattered all previous records. Attendance logged in at 180,000, well over the last air show’s tally of 150,000 back in 2009. Robins Installation Commander Mitchel Butikofer added his personal thanks – here’s what he had to pass along.

“Robins Air Force Base salutes the thousands of patriots who came out this weekend to show their outstanding support to our nations finest. From the Navy Blue Angels, Air Force F-22 and civilian aerial demonstration teams, our guests were able to witness American air superiority firsthand. I want to extend my personal gratitude to the numerous community and mission partners who were fundamental to the success of this record-breaking event.I would also like to thank our guests for their patience and understanding as we worked through some logistical challenges on day one, accommodating an unexpected, but appreciated tremendous turn out. I hope you left the air show with a renewed sense of patriotism and appreciation for living in the nation's best defense community.
