The Warner Robins Police Department has launched a new way to get information out to the public. Local lawmen will now be networking in a couple of social media tools, namely Blogger and Twitter. Blogger will be used to post media releases and updates, while Twitter will be used for traffic advisories and significant crime events. Authorities say the “real time” aspect of social media sites will mean a quicker turnaround on getting key facts out to area residents. The Twitter handle is @WarnerRobinsPD. Both the blog and the twitter account can be accessed through their home web page www.wrpolice.org.
