Austin Wallace threw a one-hitter to help Houston County remain undefeated and beat Warner Robins 6-1 Tuesday.

The visiting Bears are now 9-0 and with it being their Region 1-AAAA opener, 1-0. The Demons fell to 5-3 and 1-1.

Minus the hits – and the strikeouts as Wallace had nine - it was actually a lot closer than the score indicated. Three of those runs came in the seventh. The others were lone runs in the first, third and fourth. The Demons scored their run in the sixth – Dillon Blackwell off Ty Odom’s sacrifice fly for an RBI. Michael Lee accounted for Warner Robins’ hit.

Dalton Carriker had two hits to pace the Bears. He also had two RBI. Garrett Kline also drove in two while going 1-3. He also walked and scored a run.

Clint Wynn also homered.

Northside also saddled Lee County with its fourth-straight loss. The Eagles on the other hand won their fourth straight. They edged out the Trojans 4-3 to improve to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 1-AAAA.

Lee County fell to 4-4, 0-2.
