Joshua Dupree Rounsoville, 24, of Eatonton received a sentence of life without parole this morning after pleading guilty to the 2008 Warner Robins murder of Mario Smith, 25.

Rounsoville plead guilty to five charges including malice murder and felony murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery for a negotiation plea of life without parole instead of the death penalty.

Prosecutors said Rounsoville shot and killed Smith on August 23rd 2008, just prior to stealing his red 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that was listed for sale in an auto magazine.

Smith’s body was discovered by his brother the next day in a storage unit behind The Glass Doctor at 2305 Watson Blvd. Smith had a gunshot wound to the head.

Stewart Calvert Brannon of Eatonton was with Rounsoville at the time of the murder. Charges against Brannon are pending.
