The two-fold program, which is funded solely from sponsorship of local businesses, uses educational tools geared toward teaching kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol especially when operating a vehicle.
The enforcement part basically equates to a new state of the art mobile DUI enforcement vehicle, complete with a holding cell, and video recording equipment.
The mobile unit has the capabilities to take someone on a cinematic adventure into the repercussions of driving impaired.
A video montage is created with everything from your mug shot, to your tombstone. A very eye-opening experience for all who take part.
Chief Wesley Cannon doesn't want the program to be exclusive to Byron. He wants to offer it to all in the middle Georgia area.
