Former foes are now friends as Steve Rigby and Alex Talley threw their support behind Carolyn Robbins for City Council Post 2 this afternoon. The three former opponents gathered in front of city hall today to make the announcement.

"I think she's a very positive person and she'll do a great job," said Rigby. Both he and Talley asked their supporters to go to the polls next week in support of Robbins.

Alex Talley says she thinks it is important for a woman to be on the council, to bring a different perspective. "They bring a different hormone to the table," she joked.

To her voters Talley said," I thank you for supporting me but now I ask you to support Carolyn."

Experience is something both endorsers spoke about today. Robbins worked for the city for decades and spent several of those years as a department head. Robbins says she couldn't be happier about her new found support.

"They are both 2 fine distinguished citizens in our community. They are very respectable and I appreciate everything they can do for me. I just want to thank them both for coming."
