It's pollen season, and this spring, Georgia is experiencing record levels this week in Atlanta, a record high pollen count of 9,369 particles per cubic meter was measured. The count far eclipsed the old record of 8,164.

The cause of the increase - the unseasonably warm winter. With levels likely remaining high, people who suffer from seasonal allergies can expect increased nasal congestion, sneezing and itching of the nose and eyes, and people are not the only ones who suffer.

According to a local veterinarian your pets might be suffering from the high pollen levels as well, but their symptoms can be somewhat different than ours and might not be as noticeable.
