A 37 year veteran of the Houston County school system has been named one of ten Georgia Outstanding Women in Education. Linda Horne, Assistant Superintendent for School Operations, was presented with the award from the “It’s Time! Unity Conference” by its organizer Vivian Childs. This year’s event focused on women who succeed in excellence, expertise, and extraordinary achievements in their school district. Horne was nominated by Houston’s School Superintendent Dr. Robin Hines and Patsy Hutto, retired executive director for elementary operations.
